The Weedon Golf Society is open to current and previous residents of the village and also to residents of the surrounding villages in the central and eastern Aylesbury Vale Area.

The aim of the Society is to promote social relationships and fellowship amongst the residents of Weedon and the surrounding villages through the game of golf.

The Society is open by invitation to players of all ages, abilities, sexes and handicaps but is limited to a maximum of 40 playing members.

Golf fixtures are usually held on Thursday afternoons on the second Thursday of each month from April to October, though intermediate additional fixtures may be arranged fortnightly during the warmer months of the summer.

The competitions at each fixture are varied and include both individual and team events to suit all levels of golfing ability; members' handicaps currently vary between 9 and 45.

Each event consists of 18 holes of golf, preceded by coffee and bacon roll (alternatives available), with tee-off times between 12 and 1pm. In addition to the trophies (only available to members), additional prizes are given for various achievements at every match.

Whilst the social side of playing golf is very much to the fore in the Society, members can compete for six trophies during the season; The Men's Champions Cup, The Ladies' Champions Shield, The President’s Trophy, The Absent Friends Trophy, The Rose Bowl, The Weedon Shield and The Mike Moore Memorial Trophy. Previous winners are recorded for posterity in the table below.

New members (annual membership fee £25 for 2024) and guests at individual fixtures are always welcome.
