Stephen was born on 22 December 1824, the youngest son of Stephen and Mary Gower. He married in 1850, in Luton, Eliza Higgins, born in North Marston in 1830. He was a baker and lived at Laburnams and in his retirement at East End. They had two children called Louisa and Arthur who followed his father as a baker and lived at Yew Tree Cottage with four daughters. |
