COVID UPDATE RESTRICTIONS FROM 2nd Dec 2020
Buckinghamshire is in Tier 2 from 2nd to 16th Dec 2020. Watch for updates here.
WEEDON PARK and CHILDREN'S PLAYGROUND remain open. As this is an OUTDOOR public venue, you can exercise or visit the Park and Playground, meeting up with others to a maximum of 6 (the 'Rule of 6'), observing social distancing with those from outside your household or support bubble.
WEEDON OLD SCHOOLROOM is open to many hirers again with capacity limitations to allow social distancing, as we have undertaken covid-secure measures. Activities that can take place are educational classes, indoor exercise classes, presentations to a seated audience, wedding receptions (up to 15) and funeral wakes (up to 15). Contact the Bookings Secretary for more details.
FIVE ELMS PUB AND RESTAURANT is open Wednesday to Saturday for eating in, for single household/bubble tables with pre-booking only. Special £5 meal (curry or pasta) available. Open for takeaway-to-reheat food (pre-ordered), including Sunday lunch with a choice of roasts. A takeaway Christmas Day lunch is proposed.
WEEDON CHAPEL and St Mary's Church HARDWICK. The churches are open for weekly scheduled services. The next at Weedon is a family Christingle service at 9.30am on Sunday 13th December. Then on 20th December is a service at Hardwick. Contact Sarah Gibbs to book your place, as capacity is limited. Check for online services, too.
WEEDON PARISH COUNCIL will continue to hold online public meetings, which will be advertised on the main noticeboard and this website. The next general meeting is Wednesday 20th January 2021 at 8pm on Zoom.
Contractors for the council will be continuing their operations (grass cutting, leaf sweeping, street light maintenance etc), as work is done outdoors, usually by individual workers, under a covid-safe regime. The Clerk works from her home office.

WEEDON CHARITIES - APPLY FOR ASSISTANCE
The Weedon charities make grants of financial assistance to villagers in December.
