Weedon Parish Council Vacancy

Following a councillor resignation, there is a casual vacancy. This will be filled by co-option - please express your interest to the Parish Clerk by 17th October 2021.

Community Venues in Weedon



Open. No restrictions. The hand sanitiser is still in place and children are encouraged to continue to use it before and after using the play equipment.


Open. Community, group and personal bookings eg. parties are all permitted up to a maximum capacity of 40.  Risk assessments have been updated to ensure everyone’s safety.  The Schoolroom Café continues on the first Friday of each month 10.30 to 12 noon.

Reduced rates for the rest of the year are on offer to hirers who either live in Weedon or will be attracting attendees from the village. Fibre broadband wifi is available free in the hall.

Bar Opening Times: Monday 5-10.30pm. Tuesday closed. Wednesday – Thursday 12-3pm and 5-10.30pm. Friday  – Saturday 12 -10.30pm. Sunday 12-5pm.  FOOD starts from Thursday 4th November.

Parish council meetings will normally be held in the Old Schoolroom. General meetings will be on the third Tuesday of every other month at 7.30pm. The next one is on Tuesday 16 November 2021. These will be advertised on the main noticeboard and this website

WEEDON CHARITIES - Apply for grants

The Weedon charities make grants of financial assistance to villagers in December. However, additional grants will be considered at any time, particularly in the current coronavirus situation.Please apply for EDUCATIONAL purposes (Dr John Bridle's Charity) or GENERAL NEED (Lord Fortescue's and Dr John Bridle's).
